If your into games, you’ve heard of Minecraft. You know, that popular cube-like sandbox game. Anyway, it’s creator, Markus “Notch” Persson, has announced he is working on a new title. Its not gonna be a Minecraft follow up, in fact it appears to have nothing to do with Minecraft at all. Here’s what Notch has planned:
Imagine a world where the space race never ended. Imagine that we went way out past our solar system. That’s what Notch had in mind when he built the concept of this game. Around the time of this massive space exploration, chronic sleep chambers were made too. But there was a problem – The sleep chambers had a bug. People went in for 10 minutes, they were in there for years. So now we shoot ahead to the year 281,474,976, 712,644 A.D. when the first frozen people are waking up. The leave their slumber to find the universe on the brink of extinction, with massive red shifts and black holes controlling the galaxy. You control a ship, while you try to win back the galaxy.
It seems pretty exciting right? It’s not quite what I expected from the creator of Minecraft, but he’s pretty clever.
